Frontiers in Cell Death is delighted to present the ‘Reviews in’ series of article collections.
This topic in Apoptosis will publish high-quality review articles related to apoptosis in physiological, pathological or pharmacological conditions. It aims to highlight recent advances in the field, whilst emphasizing important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries.
Areas include but are not limited to apoptosis or resistance to apoptosis in:
• Tissue homeostasis and development (embryogenesis, tissue involution or damage and activation-induced cell death).
• Viral, bacterial or fungal infections, atrophy, host defence.
• Autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases.
• Therapeutic intervention and molecules targeting apoptosis-related diseases or cancer.
• Identification of novel regulators or pathways.
Reviews should shed light on the molecular mechanisms involved. Those dealing with a simple correlation do not fall within the scope of this topic.
The Reviews in Cell Death: Apoptosis collection welcomes full-length, mini or systematic review papers. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published.
